Music Take Me Far Away..

I'm pretty sure that we all know that feeling where we are upset, angry, confused, happy, whatever it is that we are feeling suddenly we hear a song and it seems like it was written just for us, like the lyrics were ripped straight out of your heart and put on paper, that feeling that maybe somebody does understand how we feel.

If you think about it tho, there are millions of songs out there, and for every song you feel perfectly expresses how you feel, there are probably about a hundred other people out there who have, still do, or eventually will feel the exact same way, like those lyrics were written for them. Music is just another way of trying to reach out to the world, tell them something is wrong, that they are hurt or have been hurt but no one seems to be able to grasp the fact that in order for those songs to be written then the artist has felt the exact same way.

Its so simple for people to go around saying that they are fine, that nothing is wrong, and it happens over and over again all day everywhere in the world. The reason that we do this, the reason we lie to our family, our friends, eventually even to ourselves trying to say that we are fine is because we don't have the words to express how we really feel, how our hearts feel like they shattered in a million pieces around us, or how we are sick of people treating us, no matter what it is that we feel, its to hard to explain so we lie and say we are fine when we are far from it.

These days tho, we are making it a lot easier on ourselves to express how we feel, facebook statuses. Yes, most of the time they are just what we are doing, who were with, who we like, who we like to think we love, but then you see the song lyrics. If you actually asked someone about why they put specific lyrics as their status so that all of their 'friends' can see it, they would simply tell you that its a great song, thats it. Be real, we know that lyrics only get put on facebook if they really mean something to you, how you feel, how hurt you are.

The problem with this is that we spend all of that time trying to find the perfect song, the perfect verse and exactly how to go about putting it as our status and then when people do notice it, they never say anything. Maybe instead of asking why those lyrics are there just think for a minute, what those lyrics could possibly mean to them, who they could remind them of, because nine times out of ten, you'll realize pretty fast exactly whats wrong and all it took was the perfect song.
